Just being Mommy

Here it is after midnight and I am up. I know most of us would ask are you playing? Scrapbooking? Crafting? Nope being a mom, rocking a sick little boy. He won't let me put him down. Corte was restless last night and whiny today. But no fever, just taking small naps. This evening at around 6 the fever starts. Okay I am going to hit this Tylenol before it gets up too high. It wore off around 9. Slowly his temperature begins to rise. He is getting hot to the touch. I take his temp under his arm. 103.1!!!! Uh oh! So decided to give him Motrin.. That would be great if we weren't out! Walmart here I come. I bought more Tylenol, too. Oh and band aids. Cody stepped on a nail that was sticking out of the piece of wood he was working with so he could make something or another. LOL. When it rains it pours. Thank goodness Cody had his tetanus shot in Oct! One less thing to worry about. I gave Corte Motrin at 10:50 and it still hasn't taken effect. Just waiting to see if it will kick in soon. He is fighting off some infection! I am going to call the Dr in the morning and get him in. Hopefully he can find out what is going on. Poor little guy isn't crying just sitting and whimpering. I did read online it can take up to 90 minutes for fever reducers to bring the temperature down. So just waiting!!! Let you know when I know... Poor little guy. Just so heartbreaking. :(
