Questions while I am making dinner

Apparently I do not do things like other mothers out there. My seven year comes up to me while I am making dinner, "Mom why don't you do things like other moms?"

Me getting a bit worried and feeling some guilt... what could it be? I don't read bed time stories, I don't freak out anymore and stay until they fall asleep. Or maybe is it that I don't make dinner as much and dad is starting to do often..
